## What's homebrew ?

It's code made by fans for a system (it can be an appli, game etc...)


## How can i have homebrew on my DS ?

You need a passme/wifime/flashme (one of them is enough :p)

- passme is a device that allows you to run homebrew with a nds game. 
You need a gba flashcart for this.

- wifime is a multiboot application that allows you to boot homebrew code 
through wifi, it only works with a wifi card (pci or pcmcia) that uses the
the RT2560 chipset (here's a list of supported card : http://ralink.rapla.net/ )
USB doesn't Work !
You need a gba flashcart for this. But IF you have the latest modified firmware
you don't need one.

- flashme allows you to run homebrew by modifying the original firmware.
To do so you will first need either passme or wifime and a gba flashcart to boot
the patch.

## How to flash the firmware?

- Download flashme.ds.gba (http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/)
- Send it to your gba flashcart and boot it.
- Short the SL1 located at the back of your DS (open the battery lid, remove the white
and pink sticker)
Use a screwdriver or a paperclip.
- DON'T turn off the DS until it show 100% firmware flashed succesfully. 
- You're done !


## I just downloaded the latest firmware and the health & Safety warning is still there

You shouldn't see it when booting homebrew code but You will still have it in normal mode.


## Quick tutorial to use the modified firmware

The firmware will automatically search for homebrew inside your gba flashcart and will
boot it (if you really have homebrew on your flashcart, but want to bypass the boot
press SELECT). If there isn't homebrew code it will launch normal mode.
To force the boot press simultaneously A,B,X,Y


## What's RSA encryption?

A method of dual key (private key & public key) encryption.

## Are there any emulator available?

Yes!

## I want to develop my own homebrew !

Well if you're starting from scratch you should get NDS des env , it's a pack with all
you need to begin to code.

## Can I boot roms with passme/wifime/flashme?

No you can't, the main purpose of these hacks is to boot homebrew code. So
don't even try to beg their authors for this.
